What is the PMF Score?

What the score tells you, and how founders and investors use it.

Updated 28 Oct 2026

The PMF Score is Velodesk's measure of how strongly your product fits its market, based on the evidence you provide.

What it's for

  • Founders use it to see whether they're getting closer to product-market fit, and which areas are holding them back.
  • Investors use it as a consistent, comparable signal when they look at early-stage startups.

It's a health check, not a one-off test

Many founders only think about PMF before a fundraise. We recommend treating the PMF Score as ongoing startup health monitoring: check it regularly, and watch how it moves as you ship, sell and learn.

Improving your score

Each score comes with the factors behind it. Focus on the weakest areas first, update your evidence as things change, and your score will follow.
